- Benvolio insists that they go to crash the party so he forgets of Rosaline. Romeo says yes, but to only prove that he loves her.

- Go sir housewife; Go to bed! you'll be ill tomorrow if you stay up all night.
- Romeo asks if Frair will consent to marry his true love Juliet to him. Frair agrees, because he believes their marriage will finally bring peace.
- Romeo tries to kill himself over his banishment. Friar tells him he is a fool. The plan is to wait and in time announce their marriage.
- Lord Capulet is making sure all the preparations for the wedding are done. He tells everyone to be quick and the Nurse to waken Juliet.
