- After a game of chess Herbert showed interest in the monkey paw and the sargeant gave it to him but warned him that it does not only do good it also does bad thinks.
- Climax
- The sargeant gave Herbert the monkeys paw and Herbert was very joyed because he got what he wanted.
- Falling Action
- no! that is not a good idea
- I wish that my son will come back to me
- Herbert's father did not believed that the monkeys paw worked so he made a wish.
- Resolution
- Later someone from the company that Herbert worked at came to there house. A man told Herbert's parents that when he was working he fell into a machine and died. However in return for them not sueing the company, they would give them 200 pounds.
- Im so sorry for your loss
- Later that night Herbert's mother had an idea of what to wish for there second wish with the monkeys paw. She wanted to wish for Herbert to come back to life.However she was forgetting that if he came back to life he would look the same way he did after the machine crushed him.
- After his mother wished for him to come back there where several knocks on the door that kept getting louder and louder. Meanwhile his father was trying to find the monkeys paw so he could wish for the last wish which was for Herbert to die again.
- NO please dont open the door
