"When should the three of us meet again?" (Witch, scene 1 act 1). This shows how the witches decided where they were going to meet and when. "Fair is foul, and foul is fair" is a paradox in the writing. In this scene, the withces talked about the details of when they will meet next. they plan to meet with macbeth and tell him the prophecy.

in scene 2, a mesanger comet o macbeth. He tells him that the thane of cawdar has been executed. This means that macbeth is now the thane of cawdar. "The Thane of Cawdor has lost what macbeth has won" is what duncan says when he declared him the thane of cawdor. That quote is also an example of irony because the orginal thane of cawdor betraying the king was good for macbeth but not for him.
