Mahmoud and Waleed are walking home from school in their busy New York City neighborhood.It would be a while before their mom, Fatima, arrived home because she had gotten stuck with an extra work shift at the local hospital where she is a nurse.

The boys arrive home and walk in the door. Mahmoud immediatly begins his homework, while Waleed hurries to play his game on his phone.
Mahmoud hears Alexa remind him that prayer time is in five minutes.He walks to the living room to remind Waleed, but Waleed is engulfed in his game and ignores his reminder.
I'm so proud of you two praying and doing your homework while I was stuck at work.
Mahmoud tries to get Waleed’s attention again. Waleed huffs and sighs but reluctantly gets up to get his prayer mat.
Waleed finally gets his mat and begins praying. Both boys spend time in prayer.
Fatima walks in baby Hana while Waleed and Mahmoud are praying.
