  • This is Katherine Turner, a track star from Newark, New Jersey.
  • After losing her fifth match and being harassed by the winner (again), she takes a black-market experimental drug to ensure that she will win next time.
  • Little does she know, this drug may be a bit too enhancing.And so, Kinesia- a hero with hyperspeed- is born.
  • The chemicals caused a Point Mutation in the DNA, which led to multiple Missense Mutations in the amino acids that code for myosin.   • Myosin converts ATP (chemical energy) into mechanical energy. This protein is responsible for all of the movement in the human body. With the enhancement from the drug, all of the myosin in Kate's body multiplied, allowing for much faster movement.
  • Unknown to Kate, the drug contained a mixture of dangerous chemicals. The drug greatly enhanced the productivity of the protein MYOSIN by mutating the DNA.
  • Kate, now known as Kinesia, wins her next race, but she realizes that cheating made the win much less satisfying.
  • With her newfound powers, Kinesia fights to destroy her town's black market and the people who are involved in it.
