The following Sunday, at daybreak, he began to write a letter which he himself would carry to town and place in the mail. It was nothing less than a letter to God.
God, if you don’t help me, my family and I will go hungry this year. I need a hundred pesos in order to sow my field again and to live until the crop comes, because the hailstorm....
Lencho placed a stamp on the letter and dropped it into the mailbox.
To God
Never have I ever seen such a letter in all of my career.
I know right? He seems pretty naïve to me.
God, if you don’t help me, my family and I will go hungry this year. I need a hundred pesos in order to sow my field again and to live until the crop comes, because the hailstorm....
At the post office (after the postman collected the letter):
Exactly!

What faith! I wish I had the faith of the man who wrote this letter. Starting up a correspondence with God! I have an idea! How about all of us contribute as much money as we can and send it to him?
To God
Hm.. that's a really nice idea sir. We'll let everyone else know and start collecting the money right away.

How come there's only 70 pesos here? There's no way God could not have made a mistake, Nor could he have denied me what I had requested.. well I guess the postoffice employees stole the rest. How rude! There's nothing I can do other than earning the remaining 30 pesos by doing chores here and there because I don't want God to thing I'm a greedy man who just keeps asking for money.
From that very day, Lencho went around helping the other villagers by milking their cows for them, chopping trees, helping with the village shops etc. In return, he earned few of the required materials for sowing his crops and also a few grains of rice instead of money in just 3 days.
God.
The very next day, Lencho went and bought all the required materials and began sowing his crops. He also still had a few pesos left after buying everything. So, he bought food for his family and himself that helped him survive until his crops were grown. Lencho couldn't be happier and he silently thanked God and also the post office employees who stole his money.
I can't wait for these crops to grow! I'm sure they will be the best batch I've ever grown until now.
