  • The Louisiana purchase was a part of time where a bunch of land was sold for 15 million dollars from France. Also, the U.S doubled.

  • Mexico was unhappy because the Spanish taxed Mexico unfairly. There was a certain table to describe people. The top was Peninsulares. They were born in pain, and rich. To the lowest were Native Indians. that were kept in poverty. The Indians were poor.

  • Father Miguel was a priest. Lower-class people join him in his revolt. Spaniards wanted to kill him, so he ran to Texas. He and his revolt killed upper-class people. When he died he inspired new Spain.

  • The Fillibusters were people that were in the military, and that adventurer that fights a war against a country. There are a bunch, but one that interests me the most is James long. He was a Doctor that took over Nacogdoches. But then over time, he got captured by the Spanish.
  • The battle of Medina was a war that the Republican Army and Spain fought. Before the war between them, the Republican Army captured Nacogdoches and Goliad.
  • The Constitution of 1812 had four different parts. Federalism, Republicanism, Individual rights, Separation of powers. All of these four different tittles are very important. They are important because they keep everything fair.
