Slide: 13
Sounds interessant !
The first stop is at the end of the 1800's, the discover of a new music styles "the blues"!
We listen to you!
Slide: 14
"In the 1900's, Slaves used to work really hard in the cotton fields. They were forced, if they didn't do so they would be hit by their owners..."
...
Slide: 15
"At the end of each day, they were exhausted and angry, but they find a way to feel better despite their suffering..."
...
Slide: 16
"Singing, dancing and playing music was their only way to feel better! Even if they had to hide from their owners to not get caught"
...
Slide: 17
That's how the blues was born, let's go now in the 1900's, with Jazz music!
Slide: 18
"We are now in the street, were jazz was born. Black people used to play music and sing here. They were more and more respected by white people."
...
Slide: 19
The next stop will brings us during the civils right movement!
What is this ?
Slide: 20
The civil rights mouvement was a movement in the 1950s-60s in the U.S. fighting against racial segregation and for the rights of African Americans.
Oh interessant, thank you!
Slide: 21
"During this movement black peoples suffer from police violences, they were put in jail for no reasons, no justice at all"
...
Slide: 22
Many people became more famous because of this like Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks that were important persons in the Civil Rights Movement. King advocated for peaceful protests and equality, while Parks sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott by refusing to give up her seat. Their bravery inspired many to fight for racial justice.
Slide: 23
Our final stop on the list is in 1970's in the Bronx in NY, where the hip-hop was born!
Slide: 24
"Rejected from disco clubs, young African Americans and Latinos in the Bronx reinvent themselves in the streets. Through rap, DJing, and breakdancing, they create a new culture to rise and make their voices heard."
"Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge, I'm trying not to lose my head."
Slide: 25
This is time for us to stop here! We saw that from slavery to the Civil Rights Movement, African Americans turned pain into culture through blues, jazz, and hip-hop. Each movement became a voice of resistance and identity against injustice. Though inequalities remain, their influence is now global, shaping history and society.
We learn a lot of things, thank you for this trip Franky Crazy, Good-
I hope that you like this little trip throught times . Goodby ladies!
