Monarchy: the governing power belongs to one person or king and does not allow women or queens to rule. They had the authority to create laws, act as judges, conduct religious ceremonies, and led armies during wars. Monarchs rose to power through inheritance, but later they lost power due to aristocrats overpowering the monarchy.

We need everyone to follow our laws!
Oligarchy: the ruling power lies in the hands of a group of wealthy men. They constructed laws such as making the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. These men forced other to obey their laws using the armies and sold farmers who can't pay debt into slavery. They lost power from soldiers removing them from power.

Democracy
Is there any ideas to help better our government?
Democracy: every citizen is allowed to vote on every issue and has an opportunity to share their ideas openly with others. They lost power due to many conflicts within the government and led city-states to return to earlier forms of government.
