- Cherry???
- After Dally had found Ponyboy and Johnny they headed to dairy queen to get some food. Johnny and ponyboy snarfed down on their sundaes hastily like they had never eaten before. Then Dally told them all about the big rumble and about a spy they had, and when Dally said "Cherry" they were in disbelief. Cherry the Soc , Bob's Girlfriend.
- Cherry???
- Once they left the dairy queen , a little after they could see some commotion coming from where to church was , so pony boy got out of the car and ran towards the church to see what was wrong , Johnny followed . Ponyboy asked the nearest grownup what was happening , and they told him that the church was burning. Running and panting they ran into the church to save the children
- What happened !
- Once they got in and found the children they started do drop them down the window one by one. When Dally saw ponyboy , he told him to get out because the roof was going to collapse. He ran out , then he heard Johnny scream , when he turned to back to him , dally swore and clubbed him hard on the back and everything turned black.
- When ponyboy woke up , everything was dim and fuzzy and he wasn't really fully conscious. When we awoke he asked were he was and if the fuzz were going to take him to jail. Jerry was there and told him what happened. Jerry said the towheaded kid would be alright , but he didn't know Johnny. Then all the way to the hospital jerry talked to Ponyboy in a soothing voice
- Ponyboy was sitting in the waiting room , waiting to hear about Dally and Johnny. Jerry had been with him the whole time and told him about being heroes would get them out of the trouble and was real nice about the whole murder situation
- After talking for a while Jerry told Ponyboy that he had some visitors. His brothers Sodapop and Darry. Soda bear hugged Ponyboy and swung him around. Ponyboy didn't let go for a minute. Then he thought about how he didn't like Darry and how he didn't care about him. But when he saw Darry he saw that same pleading and helpless look at his parents funeral. This time he was crying. Ponyboy broke out of his daze and he ran to Darry and he told him how he was sorry and Darry holding back sobs hugged him tight , telling ponyboy he thought he lost him just like their parents. Ponyboy was finally home.
