well the first you going to a voting place such as a school or a town park or reccenter.
I heard there's an election going on. what goes on in a voting place?
after you get inside you go to your designated polling station and give the polling clerk your voting information card and the DRO then gives you a ballot with a black tab or sticker
then what happens do I tell the clerk who I want to vote for or do I do something else?
well not exactly in Canada we do a secret ballot so you take your ballot behind a screen and mark the person you would like to vote for with a check or x and if you don't like any of the candidates you can mark the empty box or mark them all so that your vote doesn't count
then what do I do do I leave it there?
well you close the ballot and go back to the polling station and hand your closed ballot back to the DRO who then takes off the black tab without looking inside the ballot and then hands it back to you...
and then i go give it to the clerk and leave?
well not exactly you go and put the closed ballot inside your designated ballot box and tell the clerk your done and then you can leave.
oh ok now i'm going to go vote bye
you wish you have to be 18 years oldbefore you can vote in a election they won't even let you in yet.
