- Is he really a secret agent?
- FOWLER
- I'm recieving important papers around 12.
- MAX
- Give me the papers!
- One night, Fowler paid a visit to a man named Ausable. He found it hard to believe that Ausable was a secret agent, given his disheveled appearance.
- This is the second time someone has entered through that window because of the phantom balcony, Ausable clarified.
- Around midnight, Ausable informed Fowler that someone would be delivering something of great significance to him.
- That's the police I called earlier, Ausable explained.
- Knock-Knock
- When Ausable and Fowler entered Ausable's room, they were startled to find Max standing there, pistol in hand. He had entered the room with a clear intent: to seize the crucial papers from Ausable.
- There isn't an actual balcony out there, and it turned out to be only the butler.
- Ausable sensed impending danger. He conveyed to Max that this was the second instance of an intruder entering the room through the window due to the phantom balcony. Max, once again, placed his trust in Ausable's words.
- Then, a sudden knock echoed through the door. This time, Ausable informed Max that it was the police responding to the call he had made earlier, expecting to receive crucial documents. Max, once again, placed his trust in Ausable's words.
- Max, fearing apprehension by the authorities, leaped out of the window onto a balcony that seemed to exist only in his imagination. The unexpected arrival, a butler, prompted Ausable to hastily concoct this fictional narrative in his thoughts.
