- Finally Nature is wining and shall continue without humans, unlike machines that need human maintenance.

- Personification: As from the beginning of the story the house has the mind of it's one like a human which allows it to do as it wants, and function as it desires, which is to satisfy human needs

- Summary: The family dog tries to come in to look for his people and food, but when he is shut out of the kitchen, he passes away. The Mice are also manipulated by the house to clean after his mess. This shows a conflict of machine Vs. nature as the house incinerates the dog to get rid of it.

- Summary: The house catches on fire because of cleaning solvents, it tries with all its might to contain it but is unable to. As Nature is too powerful. Quote: The house keeps on shouting Fire! Fire! Fire! in a tremulous manner, Which creates suspense

- Summary: As the house tries its best to stop the fire, the fire has already spread everywhere and the house quickly starts to break down and turn into rubble, the house's paranoia of dying, comes to life. Setting: The house, is slowly turning to rubble due to the fire.
- Summary: The house is virtually gone, as nature has beaten machines. Nature also continues without the presence of humans and machines. Setting: An empty place in which there were many smart houses, but all gone due to nature being overpowering and ending all machinery.
