- One of the things Genghis Khan first did once he gained power was try to unite all of Mongolia and its safe to say, he did just that

- After a couple years he went from friends and family in his army to 20,000 soldiers
- Genghis Khan and his army conquered 11% of the entire population and killed twice as many people as Hitler. He was a gruesome ruler who at one point conquered all of China.

- Genghis Khan didn't just want to conquer all of China or Asia, he thought it was his purpose to conquer the whole world in order to please the sky god, Gok Tengri, who he was thought of to be the reincarnation of.
- Genghis Khan died in August 1227, during the fall of Yinchuan, the exact cause of his death remains a mystery, and is variously attributed with falling from his horse, or wounds sustained in hunting or battle.
- Genghis Khan was buried on a peak in the Khentii Mountains called Burkhan Khaldun, he was hidden from enemies on that mountain as a young man and pledged to return there in death.
