- Gabe: Wow, are you Anne Frank? I read about you in American studies class. Anne: Wait, what? How do you know me? Gabe: You're in our social studies book. Anne: What? Gabe: Yeah we read your journal about the holocaust. Anne: Wait, my journal is in your social studies book?
- Anne: So what year is it? Gabe: Its May 10, 2016. Anne: Wow that is far off from my time! Gabe: You want me to show you the city? Anne: Sure that would be great, but where are we? What is this city called? Gabe: It is called Pleasant Hill, a suburb of San Francisco in California. Anne: "California? Now I know I am in a dream!'
- Anne: So this is the future. Gabe: Yup. We have tvs, video games, cell phones, microwaves, and other great electronics and cars that can run on electricity. Anne: You would have to show me these things because I have no idea what those things look like or how they function or what they do! Gabe: Oh yeah! A lot has changed in the last 70 years!
- Gabe: I'll buy you a newspaper so you can learn about current events. Anne: A newspaper! I know what that is - thank you! That would be great. Gabe: After that, you want to get a snack? Anne: Yeah i'm a little hungry my last meal was 71 years ago. We don't have to eat in the Afterlife!
- Anne: I read that newspaper you gave me and I found an article about the hate crimes against the Jewish population including a recent torching of a Jewish private school bus in New York by kids! And I read that last year the Jews and Jewish institutions where the biggest religious target in the USA. Gabe: I'm sorry to hear that - it is so wrong! But this is California where we celebrate diversity & I hope you feel welcome.
- Gabe: So what about the future? Anne: Well, while I'm here I'd like your help starting a Vlog to bring positive attention to our diversity & to highlight the many ways we are also the same ... I've already lined up Malala from Pakistan to Skype with us - she won the Nobel Peace Prize. Gabe: Sounds cool!
