- Tom confronts Daisy and Gatsby
- "I never loved him"
- ""Please let's all go home. Why don't we all go home"
- "You're crazy!...Daisy loved me when she married me and she loves me now"
- "Your wife doesn't love you...She's never loved you. She loves me"
- Nick and Jordan are in the same room, but aren't seen
- Gatsby and Tom switch cars to ride to town
- "Daisy invited him; she knew him before we were married--God knows where!" -Tom
- "Listen, Tom. If you're such a snob, why did you invite him to lunch?" -Jordan
- Nick goes to Daisy's house for lunch
- "You always look so cool"
- looks at the child with surprise
- Tom complains about them the whole ride to their suite at the Plaza Hotel. He confronts Gatsby about his past and relationship with Daisy. Daisy suggests going home. Gatsby tells him that she loves him more. Tom calls him crazy and says they love each other more. Daisy finally admits that she loves Gatsby and once loved Tom. Daisy wants to leave him, so Tom tells Daisy to go home with Gatsby in his car.
- Nick realizes it's his 30th birthday
- "Want any of this stuff? Jordan?... Nick?"
- "No... I just remembered that today's my birthday"
- Tom takes Gatsby’s car to town with Nick and Jordan. Gatsby takes the coupé car with Daisy. She suggests to go with him because she didn’t want to ride in the car with Tom.
- Daisy hits/runs-over Myrtle, killing her instantly
- LOOK OUT!
- Gatsby and Jordan are also at the Buchanan's for lunch. Gatsby is surprised to see Pammy. Daisy states she looks more like her. She's the first to suggest going to town. Tom hearing Daisy compliment Gatsby and seeing how they look at each other, makes him decide for all to go.
- Nick finds Gatsby hidden and leaves him alone
- "I'm perfectly willing to go to town. Come on--we're all going to town"
- "I want to wait here till Daisy goes to bed. Good night, old sport"
- After arguing about Daisy's love interest, Tom offers Nick and Jordan Whiskey. Nick refuses remembering there that it's his 30th birthday.
- What?! It is?! OMG
- Daisy ran over Myrtle going through the Valley of Ashes to East Egg. Gatsby admits to Nick that Daisy was driving the car when she hit Myrtle, but will take the blame for her.
- I'll drive to let myself cool off from the argument
- *killed*
- Nick finds Gatsby hidden in the bushes to ensure Tom doesn’t hurt Daisy. He sends him to check up on her. He finds both eating and talking. They have reconciled their differences. Nick leaves Gatsby standing alone in the moonlight watching over nothing.
- I better leave him alone with his thoughts
- "You'd better come home and get some sleep"
