- Good morning! I think we are both evaluating the new admission today. What time are you planning on seeing the patient for OT today?
- At 10AM. We can discuss our findings before lunchtime if that works for you.
- I checked the patient's oxygen tank and lines to make sure everything was working properly, but her SpO2 is still extremely low. It's 82% at rest.
- I will update you when I am done with my session before we discuss the plan of care with the resident and family at the care plan meeting.
- Thank you for letting the nursing staff know. Let's increase it to 4L and I will call the doctor to update her too. If O2 stays at 90% you can proceed with your evaluation.
- Thank you for communicating with me. I agree that this patient is very complex and you are not expected to treat her on your own yet. Let's work through this evaluation together. We can discuss the different options and clinical reasoning behind our decisions.
- The new patient is more complex than we thought. I think I need some guidance on how to proceed and an extra set of hands for safety if we decide to mobilize the patient.
- That sounds great. I'll be sure to make detailed notes in my documentation so the PTA tomorrow will know how to safely treat the patient.
