  • Act 1
  • Tis nothing but a dreamer, away with you
  • Beware the ides of March
  • Act 2 scene 3
  • See how foolish you are Calpurnia, even all my friends came to walk with me to work!
  • Calpurnia's dream is sign of the Romans love for you
  • Act 3 scene 2
  • Caesar is dead, killed by the conspirators
  • Down with the conspirators!
  • we shall kill the conspirators and avenge Caesar
  • Didn't we forgive the conspirators?
  • This scene is where the soothsayer came to warn caesar of the ides of march and Caesar's ignorance. I chose scene 2 because I thought the first sign of Caesar's death was an important start to the play and also the beginning of Caesar's overall huge ego.
  • Act 4 scene 3
  • why, I will see thee at Philippi then
  • Brutus, thou shall see me at Philippi
  • in this scene, Calpurnia had a dream about Caesar involving many Romans bathing in his blood and smiling, Decius thinks Calpurnia has interpreted the dream wrong and that the dream was a good sign. I chose this scene to better reinforce the amount of foreshadowing and overall stupidity of Caesar
  • Act 5 scene 5
  • This was the noblest roman of them all
  • In this scene, Marc Antony is saying they should kill the conspirators because of the death of Caesar and the Roman people agree then though they forgave them when Brutus was speaking. I chose this scene because it has a lot of information in it, Caesar has been killed due to the conspirators, Roman citizens forgive them until Marc Antony gives his speech, and the people agreeing with Antony
  • ThemeAct 3 scene 1
  • This scene is the ghost of Caesar visiting Brutus to tell him he will see him at Philippi where the battle with being held, Brutus just absorbs this information and agrees that he'll see Caesar at Philippi. I chose this scene because I think the message given by Caesar was a warning, a warning Brutus didn't take to heart. This scene also foreshadows the upcoming events that will take place in Philippi
  • Scene 5 of act 5 is where Brutus has just killed himself and Marc Antony calls him the noblest roman of them all while Octavius stands near. I think this scene is important because it really shows Brutus' character, Brutus truly only cared about Rome and would do anything for Rome, even kill his good friend Caesar.
  • I think the theme of Julius Caesar is to always be warry of your friends, and that power corrupts. all the conspirators, except Brutus, wanted Caesar dead for his power. Antony and Octavius just took power when Caesar was dead. The Scene I chose is when Caesar had looked upon the hands of his once good friend and saw that he too, had stabbed him. I selected this scene because I think it really tells the audience how Caesar, even in a time of death, had really thought Brutus to be a good friend with the shock and betrayal Caesar was heartbreaking, figuratively and physically.
  • Et tu, Brutè? Then fall Caesar
