Meanwhile, my mom was not doing well. Mr. Kim had to go to Los Angeles on a trip to try and salvage his failing business. His relatives are chastising her for being a bad wife. She couldn't take it anymore!
We had to leave in the middle of the night so nobody knew we were going. I had to uproot my entire life for the second time! This time we are moving to Virginia. I hope it feels like more of a home than Alabama did...
Virginia is much more diverse than Alabama and I've found great friends. I am on great terms with my mom, too. It all worked out in the end!
