- Chapter 1: Thomas meets the Gladers

- Chapter 4: Learning about the Maze
- Well, no one said I couldn´t look around.
- Whoa, wait!
- Close?
- Be careful, those puppies are about to close.
- The doors, you shank.
- Chapter 8: Teresa comes out of the Box
- Everything is going to change
- In a dark metal elevator, a teenage boy is found awake with no recollection of his past life, except that his name is Thomas. When he climbs out he is surrounded by 4 extremely tall walls covered in thick ivy, and about 50 other boys who welcome him to the Glade.
- Chapter 46: Thomas gets stung by a Griever
- Tom! What are you doing!
- A place we´ve never looked before?
- After a few days living in the Glade, which is flat grassland with a few buildings the Gladers live and work in, Thomas learns that outside the Glade is a huge maze. This maze is full of Grievers, horrible slug-like, spike covered creatures that attack if given the chance. The Grievers come out at night, when the doors are closed.
- Chapter 50: Thomas explains the plan
- Just get on with the escape already
- It´s in a place we never looked before.
- Over the Cliff, we have to go through the Griever hole.
- A day after Thomas´ arrival, a teen girl comes out of the Box in a coma. Turns out the girl, Teresa, can telepathically talk to Thomas in his mind and says she triggered the Ending.
- Chapter 56: The Gladers attack the Grievers
- Okay ,then..Let´s go.
- oon after she says this, the Glade starts acting crazy. After the increasingly dire situation, Thomas decides to purposely get stung by a Griever. When he´s given the serum to cure him, he´ll recall the memories that can help the Gladers escape the maze.
- Teresa tells Thomas the maze is a code. With this knowledge and his memories he devises a plan for everyone to escape the Glade.
- The Gladers attack while Thomas, Teresa and Chuck, jump through the hole in the Cliff and punch in the code to deactivate the Grievers.Most of the Gladers agree to leave and chance getting killed in the maze.
