The King asked Rosencrantz and Guildenstern why Hamlet was acting weird, they couldn't figure out why.
Hamlet thinks about suicide and whether he wants to endure the sadness he bares.

Claudius and Polonius stay and spy on Hamlet's conversation with Ophelia. Ophelia trys to give Hamlet his gifts back he denies he gave them to her.
