The Unknown Hero

George Washington Carver
I grew up during the American Civil War, which led to the freeing of millions of slaves. I was one of those freed slaves. It wasn’t easy.
He started with nothing, and only his passion for nature, determination for knowledge and hard work to better the lives of his fellow people, as well as the economic health of his country, led him to success.
Carver only aimed to serve humanity with his work, and his success played a big role in the racial politics of the time.
I brought a significant advance in the agriculture of the South, by encouraging improved farm methods, crop diversification, and soil conservation.
Oh George, your efforts have liberated the South from its dependence on cotton! And we’re rich!
You're a hero!
All in the name of improving lives, my friend.
