- this is an example of the molecules in a gas form: -->the molecules (the circles) in a gas state move rapidly in all directions. the molecules are spread apart. A gas does not have a definite volume or a definite mass. Water as a gas is water vapor.

- the liquid first travels to a very cold place, and freezes into a solid. The solid then travels back home, and melts back into a liquid. the liquid travels to a very hot place, and evaporates into a gas. the gas then travels back home, and condenses back into a liquid.
