KThe father’s voice faded gently, leaving only the soothing sound of the river flowing beside them. For a moment, neither the father nor the son spoke. The boy looked at the water, lost in thought, then slowly turned his head toward his father.
They stood up to leave. But before going, the boy cast one last glance at the river. For a brief moment, he thought he saw a faint glow beneath the water, as if something was moving slowly with the current. He blinked. There was nothing anymore. He said nothing. But as they walked back toward the village, one thought remained in his mind: Maybe the story was not over.
