  • These aren’t raindrops falling from the sky, they are new coins.The big drops are ten cent pieces and the little ones are fives
  • The only thing the earth needed was a downpour or at least a shower. When it started raining, Lencho was satisfied that all his work would be fulfilled
  • But the rain got worse and the crops were ruined
  • All our work, for nothing.There’s no one who can help us.We’ll all go hungry this year.
  • The following Sunday, at day break, he began to write a letter which he himself would carry to town and place in the mail.It was nothing less than a letter to God
  • What faith! I wish I had the faith of the man who wrote this letter. Starting up a correspondence with God!
  • Boss, this man has written a letter to God! I would have never imagined that I will see this kind of letter in my life
  • The post master got the letter from one of the employee and when he read the letter, he was mesmerized by Lencho's faith in God
  • In order not to shake the writer’s faith in God,the postmaster came up with an idea: answer the letter. But when he opened it, it was evident that to answer it he needed something more than good will,ink and paper. But he stuck to his resolution: he asked for money from his employees, he himself gave part of his salary, and several friends of his wereobliged to give something ‘for an act of charity’.

  • The following week, Lencho returned to the town to check for a reply. He got the reply letter from the post master. He knew that God would listen to his problems and help him. He went to the office to thank the post master.
