- I passed a law raising TARIFFS, or taxes, on imported goods such as cloth and glass. this is good for he growth of manufacturing. Higher tariffs meant higher prices for imported factory goods.
- Southern states
- We know that hte northern states are happy but we aren't High Tariffs also discouraged trade among nations, and planters in the South worried that tariffs would hurt cotton sales to other countries.
- I declare the tariff “null and void” or illegal and not to be honored.

- I understand why yall of mad so I signed a new law that lowered the Tariffs.

- Im still not happy this was nullication
- peace OUT if the national government tried to enforce the tariff laws.
- Im so mad at calhoun. Im calling congress to pass the Force Bill, which allowed him to use the Federal Army to collect tariffs if needed.
- Fine, We are not going to leave but we are still mad at the Northern states. And YAY the Nullification crisis ended
