"Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, And, sure, he is an honorable man."(Act 3 Scene 2).
Here Antony uses Brutus's honor against him in an act of Ethos. Antony states that Brutus, an honorable man, believes that Caesar had to die because he was ambitious when that doesn't make any sense when you examine Caesar as a person and not ruthless leader.
"Show your sweet Caesar's wounds, poor poor dumb mouths, / And bid them speak for me”(Act 3, Scene 2)
In an act of pathos Antony refers back to he stab wounds that had been transformed in such a way to tell a story of betrayal. Antony gave a “voice” to these wounds and allowed them to speak their story and how they were delivered. Bringing this up again continues to make the crowds upset.
"Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?"(Act 3, Scene 2 Page 2)
Brutus attempts to give reason to Caesars death to a crowd that has started to believe him. Brutus’s point overall speaks about a degree of logic. Brutus states that if Caesar had lived it wouldn’t be an unreasonable claim to say he could have plunged into Tyranny. Logos is used because Brutus is working off a leaders ambition and that logical jump to tyranny.
