Storyboard Text

  • Slide: 1
  • Get out of here weirdo you and your kind don't belong at our school
  • Hey Brett, why are we in a different school than the other kids?
  • I'm not sure Lisa, but I think we should all be allowed to go to the same school
  • But what did I do? We all just want to learn
  • White students only
  • Slide: 2
  • "Colored" Students only
  • What happened today at school honey? Why are you so upset?
  • The-the school didn't let me in because I'm "different". What makes me so different from everyone else that I can't go to school
  • The same thing happened to my kid, and I don't stand for it we have to make some sort of change, so our kids have every opportunity available.
  • Slide: 3
  • My daughter was denied entrance to a school today just because she's African American. This just isn't right. We have to find a way to make schools equal for all our kids.
  • Slide: 4
  • You make a great point Mr. Brown and I agree that this separation violates the equal protection clause. But I rule that the separate but equal doctrine stands
  • Your honor I come here today to argue that segregating schools is a violation of our rights and ask for you to allow people of every race to have a chance of an education together
  • Slide: 5
  • How could we possibly lose this just isn't right. I guess it's over and our kids will never have the chance to learn at a better school with everyone
  • It's not over yet I plan on presenting our case to the supreme court and hopefully getting a verdict in favor of ending segregation
  • Slide: 6
  • You make a compelling argument today, Mr. Brown, and after considering all factors, we rule in your favor. Therefore, segregation is no longer allowed in schools
  • Thank you, honorable justices, for allowing me to do this. What I ask you today is if you would hear me and out and possibly consider ending segregation of races in public school
  • Thank you, dad, I'm so glad you did this for us and hopefully it lasts forever!
  • Slide: 7
  • Woohoo we can all go to school together and we don't have to live separately anymore
  • No matter your race you are welcome to come in and learn here
