- I work for the lords and provide crops and I get protection.
- Pope/ Chruch
- I countrol the chruch and everything evoving.
- Monarch
- We control all the land and control the people within.
- A social system during the Midieval Europe in which people worked an fought nobles who gave them land and protection. The kings and nobles would give land and made a promise to keep the peasants safe in return for their labor. The lord or noble would give the king in return taxes or soilders for war.
- Nobles
- You will work for the king.
- The Pope was the leader of the church and managed an area of land called diocese. Since the chruch was the very powerful in Europe, the Pope also had lots of power and responsiblity. Some Popes became very rich due to they recieved tithe of ten percent from all people.
- Knights
- We protect the kingdom and work for the king.
- Monarchy constist of Kings, Queens, princes, and princesses. The King couldn't cobtrol all the land so he decided to divided it up between his Barons. Barons would pay the king in soilders. When the king died, his oldest son would take the throne.
- Peasants
- We work for the lords and help farm the feilds.
- Nobles ruled larged areas of lands called fiefs. They divided the land in between lords who ran indivial manors. The job they did was to ensure the kings army.
- The lord ran the local manors. The knight could be called into battle anywhere by their baron. The lords owned everything on their land including peasants and crops.
- Most people in the middle ages were peasants. Some peasants wree considered free and could have their own business. Some peasants weren't free and had to work six days a week and barely had enough food to survive.
