- Polyphemus

- After escaping the island of the Lotus eaters, Odysseus and his men find another island and decide to explore the cave in it.
- Book Ten
- While Odysseus and his men are inside the cave, the cyclops comes in and eats some of Odysseus's crew members.
- Betrayed
- Odysseus and his crew hardened a staff they found in the cave, and when the cyclops went to sleep, they stabbed his eye, blinding the cyclops. After they did this, they his under the sheep in the cave and silently escaped.

- When Odysseus and his men leave Aeolia, Aeolus gives Odysseus a gift. When they are on the ship, Odysseus falls asleep and his men open the gift, when they are about to return back home. When they open the gift, winds unleash and they are blown all the way back to Aeolia.
- Odysseus and his men get to Circe's island, where she drugs his men and turns them into pigs. Odysseus has to save them, and then he falls in love with Circe.
- After a year, Odysseus and his men leave, and Circe tells him that they have to go to the land of the dead, and speak to Tiresias in order to return home.
