- George and Hazel are watching TV. Hazel is crying and doesn't rememberwhy because she has an average brain, while George can't think because he has a radio in his ear keeping him from thinking straight and being smarter than the average person.
- The ballerina's dance with sashweights and bags of birdshot weighing them down so none of them dance better than the average person. They also wear masks so know one can see their graceful faces and feel jealous.
- She must have been extraordinarily beautiful , because the mask she wore was hideous.

- In his story Harrison Bergeron, KurtVonnegut makes fun of the idea that everyone is equal. We are not equal, and that's what makes humans beautiful, they are unique. People do not need to be handicapped so that they are not better than others. They should be encouraged to excel and embrace who they are. When you are not who God created you to be you do not function properly and a misguided view of the world.
