  • Ah 9th grade algebra.What don't you understand.
  • ugh this is so confusing.
  • i just cant understand this kind of math

  • Alright let's start with understanding the base and exponent.
  • So base is the number or term or an expression that's being multiplied
  • All of it i don't get any of this.
  • so 8 or x or even y.
  • so the exponent is the number at the top or the base,which is the power that's being raised.
  • BB: an example is 2*1 the base is 2 the exponent i 1.LB:so (x*1)*2 the base is (x*1) and the exponent is 2 .
  • see you get this
  • When the are next to each other like b^8 *b^3you add the exponents together to get b^11
  • Isn't that the product rule .
  • so do you remember what the zero exponent rule is.
  • no i forgot can you remind me again.
  • so for an example X^0=1 so whenever the power is 0 everything is going to equal 1.
  • so if the problem was 383975/93795768^ it will still equal one .oh i get it now so it's something that looks difficult but not difficult at the same time .
