  • Adler believed that one's individual struggle for superiority helped to build their personality. One's struggles would change based on their birth order and therefore people that fall in the same place in birth orders will share similar personality traits.

  • Carl Roger's believed our personality is built on self actualization, our tendency to always want to be the best version of ourselves. Rogers thought our personalities were affected by the degree of overlap between our real and ideal selves.
  • Albert Bandura believes that the interaction between what people think, how they behave, and the environment they are in determines their personality.
