- Cyclops walks into the cave and milks his ewes.
- Cyclops Spot Odysseus and his men.
- Who is there, present yourselves to me! why are you here, and how did you get here.
- We are from Troy, Achaean, blown off course by shifting gales on the Great South Sea.
- Odysseus asks for gifts
- "You are a ninny,or else you come from the other end of nowhere,telling me, mind the gods!"
- As a custom to honor stranger we ask of you any gist or help.
- "We lit a fire, burnt an offering,and took some cheese to eat; then sat in silence around the embers, waiting. Then over the broad cavern floor, he ushered the ewes he meant to milk"
- Cyclops Asks about Odysseus's ship.
- Tell me.....where did you leave you ship?
- After Cyclops milks his ewes, he spots Odysseus and his men. Cyclops tells Odysseus and his men to reveal themselves.
- Cyclops eats two men.
- ZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUS
- when Odysseus was speaking with Cyclops he asked for gifts, because it is a custom to honor strangers. Cyclops' response to this was calling Odysseus a "ninny".
- Odysseus almost killed.
- I'll come up with a plan, for me and my men to leave.
- Odysseus lied to Cyclops about his ship breaking upon the rock. The reason Odysseus lied, he knew what cyclops was up to.
- Without responding to Cyclops snatches two of Odysseus's men, the men are the dismembered and eaten. Odysseus and the rest of his men were in a state of shock and started to cry out to Zeus.
- When Cyclops falls asleep, Odysseus is about to kill him. He stops himself to think, if he kills cyclops then he and the rest of his men will be trapped in the cave.
- If I Kill Cyclops, me and my men will be stuck here to rot with him.
