  • Viruses and bacteria are both tiny organisms that can cause disease. Bacteria are single-celled creatures that can live in various environments, from soil and water to inside the human body. Some bacteria are good for you, like the ones in your gut that help digest food. But others can make you sick. Viruses, are even smaller than bacteria and require living hosts — like people, plants, or animals — to multiply. Otherwise, they can't survive. When a virus gets into your body, it invades some of your cells and takes over the cell machinery, redirecting it to produce more viruses.

  • Now before you go, I think it's important you know what body systems are going to be affected and the symptoms accordingly.Ebola can affect multiple body systems. It primarily targets the immune system which is responsible for fighting off infections. It can also cause damage to blood vessels, leading to problems in the cardiovascular system. This can result in symptoms like bleeding and clotting issues. Other systems that can be affected include the gastrointestinal system, liver, and kidneys. The symptoms can be quite severe and include fever, fatigue, muscle pain, vomiting, and bleeding. The liver and kidneys may also be affected, leading to problems with organ function. It's important to remember that the severity of organ involvement can vary from person to person.

  • Let's go over your treatment options:While there is no specific cure for Ebola, supportive care can greatly improve the chances of survival. This includes providing fluids, and electrolytes, and maintaining oxygen levels. Early detection, isolation, and prompt medical attention are crucial in managing Ebola cases. antibiotics are not effective against Ebola. Ebola is caused by a virus, not bacteria.Additionally, there is a vaccine available for Ebola. Vaccination plays a crucial role in controlling and preventing outbreaks of Ebola. Vaccines serve the purpose of preventing infectious diseases. They work by stimulating our immune system to recognize and fight against specific pathogens, such as viruses or bacteria. Vaccines contain harmless versions of the pathogen or pieces of it, which trigger an immune response. This helps our body develop immunity to the actual pathogen, so if we encounter it in the future, our immune system can quickly recognize and neutralize it, preventing us from getting sick or reducing the severity of the illness. Vaccines are an important tool in protecting public health and preventing the spread of diseases.
