At Jake's old school, Jake was the best player on his Baseball team. Everyone wanted to be like him, They wanted to be a good as him, They wanted to be the same height as him, They wanted to have the same hair as him, They could only wish.
Jake got on the field and started playing catch with this kid named Caleb. Caleb just moved schools too just like Jake did. So they both didn't know what they were expecting.
The coach handed the envelope to Jake. The coach said " This envelope has a letter in it open it when you get home it will say if you have made it or not.
There are 2 days for tryouts so that wasn't bad at all. Jake played Shortstop. He hopes their won't be a more aggressive and quick Shortstop than him. When Jake was getting ready for tryouts, Jake started saying in his head. " Just work harder than everyone else. He said that in his head multiple times in his head. After he said that all the butterflies went away and he started feeling confident and wanted to work harder than everyone else.
My family was all around me and as anxious as I was. So I opened it and it said on the top left hand corner of the page, " You HAVE MADE IT" " We have noticed your fielding and hitting abilities and your hard work and effort. We will see you on Wednesday to try on your uniforms!
