  • Bill's farm was flourishing; he was selling a lot of crops and farm animals and he was making good money to pay for his land. This was important because all of the crops kept the animals fed and the wheat was made into flour that was sold to local markets and shops.
  • That night
  • Wash up and sleep kids
  • Within days the sky was gloomy and the wind viciously picked up, it was starting to become too dangerous to even leave the house. Little did the people know, this wind would result in a 3 waved drought that would last 4 years and in some regions even up to 8 years.
  • That morning
  • Animals eating the grass shortened it letting dust blow freely through at a higher speed eroding the soil, the dry soil turned to dust and got swept up in the high winds making it hard for people to breathe and causing a lot of damage. There were other causes like over-grazing, planting too many crops and drought.
  • The aftermath of the Dust Bowl
  • .
  • Ok Dad. Goodnight
