- Meeting with the Mentor: Beowulf´s mentor is king of the danes Hrothgar
- Ordinary World: Beowulf lives and is from geatland in modern day sweden
- Call to Adventure: Beowulf hears of the monster Grendel and that king Hrothgar needs help
- Crossing the Threshold: Beowulf crosses when he sails to denmark and is meeted at the coast
- Ordeal: Beowulf fights Grendel´s mother in a long grueling battle
- Tests, Allies and Enemies: Beowulf faces off against Grendel and his 14 men alongside the Danish soldiers.
- Approach: Beowulf gives a long speech before he enters the swamp to fight Grendel ´ s mother
- Reward: Beowulf brings back Grendel´s head and all the treasure he earns from the danes
- The Road Back: Beowulf stays in Denmark and is taught how to be a king and then travels back to Geatland
- Return with Knowledge: Beowulf is dead but his fellow Geats honor him and remember him with a big tomb filled with riches
- Resurrection: Beowulf is old and must fight a dragon to protect his kingdom, he fights to the end and dies
