Good Morning Class. Today we will be learning about the different types of subsistence agriculture (primitive subsistence) . Please look to the board.
Shifting Cultivation
Now, the land is abounded but it is allowed to revert for producing it's normal vegetation while this happens we move to another plot.
We tribals, clear a patch of forested land by cutting and burning the tress and bushes. After 3 or 4 years the soil get's leached or covered by weeds and becomes infertile.
Nomadic Herding
We herders, depend upon the animals for food, clothing, shelter, tools, and transport. We move from place to place in search of water and pasture.
Intensive Agriculture
We farmers, make optimum utilization of the land and grow two or three crops annually with the help of irrigation , high yielding varieties of seeds, natural manures and chemical fertilizers.
