- I have something I wanna tell you... I was recently diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder.
- Well, it's a condition generally characterized by a lack of empathy and regard for other people.
- What's that?

- Well sweetheart, ASPD stands for Antisocial Personality Disorder. Those with ASPD can have tendencies to antagonize and often act insensitively or in an unfeeling manner but it's not like that for everybody.
- Hey mama, I heard about this thing called ASPD in class today. What is it?

- I'm worried about my son. He's been acting odd lately, I was doing some research and think he may have Antisocial Personality Disorder. But I know he can't be officially diagnosed with it until he turns 18.
- Well, some prominent symptoms that he could have tend to show up during childhood such as dangerous behavior which can include fire setting, cruelty to animals, difficulty with authority, impulsivity, and lack of remorse.

- Don't stress about it too much, after all it's not like there aren't any treatment options. It may be difficult as those with ASPD don't really respond to punishment but they can respond to therapy and medications.
