- Set in 2002 in NYC, USA. A young middle-class Amanda Otuditi fantasizes of living a lifestyle that is out of her price range. She is eager to attend a very posh party when her husband Qamar Ibrahim one day brings home tickets, but she is worried that she will appear dull.
- Climax
- Amanda longs to be wealthy but she's not. Her husband Qamar gives her money to purchase a dress, but she is still unsatisfied and eventually approaches Joanna Puerta her wealthy friend to borrow a necklace.
- Falling Action
- Amanda is a hit at the party and everyone adores her.
- Resolution
- As she walks away, she looks for the necklace and realizes it is missing. She and Qamar finally settle on replacing it with an identical-looking one after searching for days. They need ten years to pay for the replacement, which cost more than they make.
- After ten years of hard work and struggles, the couple pays of their debt.
- At the bakery, Amanda spots Joanna from whom she had taken the necklace. She chooses to share what happened to her necklace. Joanna bursts out laughing when Amanda tells her about the necklace. Amanda, who is puzzled and worried, asks as to why she is laughing, and Joanna responds by telling her that it's okay because it was a fake.
