  • I spilled hot water on myself and I am in pain, what am I experiencing?
  • You are experiencing what's called a first degree burn, which causes skin redness, pain, and swelling. The temperature of the water was so high it caused a first degree burn, to treat this I will use a cold compress to relieve the pain
  • SECOND DEGREE BURN epidermis and part of dermis: blistered
  • Doctor do I have a second degree burn?
  • Yes you have a second degree burn, this type of burn causes blisters and extreme redness to the skin, always keep your wound clean and bandage it properly to prevent infection, this will take no longer than 3 weeks to heal.
  • You have a third degree burn, which is a type of burn that extends through every layer of the skin, you might not be experiencing pain because of the nerve damage it caused. your burns appear to be stiff, leathery and tan, the risks of having this burn are infections, blood loss and shock, we have to treat with you with IV nutrition and fluid replacement
  • THIRD DEGREE BURNepidermis, dermis, more: destroyed
