- Treat me as if I were a nobleman who was sick and out of his mind
- A nobleman finds a drunken Christopher Sly and decides to trick him.
- Lucentio and his man servant, Tranio, walk into the town square just in time to see Lord Baptista and his two daughters, Katherine and Bianca. One daughter, Bianca, is already being courted by 2 suitors while the other sister, Katherine, is insultig people and mean which isnt very desirable.
- Lucentio pretends to be one of the suitors to get closer to Bianca while tryinh to find a husband for Katherine, as Bianca can not marry till Katherine had. While trying to disguise himself again, someone snitches and Lucentio and Bianca have decided to elope.
- A man named Petruchio comes to the town looking for a wife who will give him a great fortune and is inclined to marry Katherine. Katherine is wedded without consent, forcing her to live with him at his house in the country. He performs the act of taming the shrew by starving her of food and sleep.This is a way to kill a wife with kindness
- The two couples, Katherine and Petruchio and Bianca and Lucentio come back to the town square and everyone is teasing Petruchio about marrying a shrew. Petruchio decides to prove them wrong and decides to have a contest to see who has the most obedient wife. Everyone laughs, expecting Bianca to win. To come at first when he doth send for her shall win the wager which we will propose.
