- The French agreed to sell the land for 15 million dollars. This doubled the size of our country.
- It will be 15 million dollars.
- Lewis and Clark
- Oh my Clark! This land is so beautiful!
- Yes, and theres an abundance of berries and deer!
- Lewis and Clark explored the land currently known as Kansas. They believe this land is beautiful and full of life.
- Zebulon Pike
- Zebulon explored Kansas and said the opposite of Lewis and Clark. He believed the land was worthless.
- This land is worthless and inhabitable. It looks like a sort of desert.
- Stephon H. Long
- This land is terrible and we won't be able to farm here. From now on this area shall be formally know as the Great American desert.
- Long agreed with Zebulon naming Kansas the Great American desert. This idea of Kansas stuck.
- JacksonsSpeech
- Jackson tells the people they should use eastern land for farming rather than leaving the land to the "savages". The people agree.
- Why waste the eastern land on "savages" when we could be using it as farm land instead.
- Indian Removal Act
- Indians were forced out of Eastern lands relocating to the unfamiliar grounds of Kansas. It was a very difficult transition.
