- Romeo was just invited to the ball of the Capulet family. There he meets Juliet, and he is lovestruck by her beauty. This would be part of the exposition because we are learning about the main story.
- "Did my heart love till now? Forswear it sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."(I.v.49-50)
- Come, come with me, and we will make short work. / For, by your leaves, you shall not say alone / Till holy church incorporate two in one .(II.vi.35-37)
- The Friar has just married Romeo and Juliet, after a long wait. This would be the rising action of the story because the story is developing.
- Alive in triumph-and Mercutio slain!Away to heaven, respective lenity,And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now.Now, Tybalt, take the "villain" back again.(III.i.118-121)
- Romeo is going to avenge his best friend, Mercutio, by killing the killer. Tybalt has just killed Mercutio and doesn't mind fighting Romeo at all. This would be the climax because it is the turning point of the whole story and will cause problems in the future
- Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here / Shalt with him hence.(III.i.126-127)
