- In 1804 Jefferson sent 2 US diplomats to go buy Florida but it was a no deal but now lets jump forward to 1818

- Mr. Andrew Jackson the Seminole Indians are terrorizing our southern friends in Georgia. I need you to go and stop them from doing it. When you go though please do not and I repeat mess with Spain and there forces.

- Andrew Jackson killed any Seminoles he found and wiped out the entire tribe

- After completely wiping out the Seminoles Andrew Jackson lead his army to the Spanish base to take their territory too even though he was told not to.
- While I'm here I might as well take this territory away from Spain too.

- Andrew Jackson destroyed multiple forts and took the governor hostage and put one of his men in charge and killed a lot more other people causing problems between the US and Spain
- No, we should take advantage of this and tell them to govern everybody so there are not problems or get out.
- We should just say sorry for the issues Jackson caused and punish him
- What do we do?
- President Monroe needed advice from his cabinet on what to do about Spain and everybody said to just say sorry and punish Jackson but John Quincey Adams to take advantage of this and to say you have to govern or get out and Monroe agreed with him so that's what they did.
- We give up on this we are just going to abandon this place, and this is not bringing us any profit.
- Spain decided to sell all of Florida to the US cheap for 5 million dollars in 1819 so if Jackson did follow the rules then we probably wouldn't have Florida.
- Take that Spain mess with Jackson and your going to get some US action
- Spain sold the land because it wasn't bringing them any profit and plus they didn't want to have two wars going on because they were also at war with France so they just sold it.
