- Once soldiers returned home, they often returned to the wives and children looking a lot different, with different clothing style, shorter hair, wearing makeup, and more skin showing. The new role of women included earning their own money by working at a job and receiving the right to vote. A lot can change in the span of 4 years as women begin to have more rights.

- Due to Canadian wheat and lumber going into demand worldwide, American investors were lending more money and investment towards Canada causing this country to grow. The advantage of having all this money led the citizens to spend money recklessly, buying luxury items such as radios, automobiles, telephones, clothing and jewelry while using the Buy now pay later method.
- Let's go shopping to celebrate! I've always wanted the spiffy model T.
