On the long treacherous journey, Drako thought back to what his father said about his brother turning evil. He explained Barack was a good man until the tragic death of his wife. Barack fell into a deep sadness, and started using black magic, and had to be banished to the underworld by his father. The revenge he's trying to seek is death upon all mortals which is why Drako needs to stop him.
