  • Abe lived in his home country with his pig Marco. They were poor since Abe spent all his money on Marco. Abe could not get a job due to a lack of job opportunities in his country. He lived off remittance from his family in America but it was not enough to support Marcos expenses.

  • Yes Marco we're escaping! Finally!
  • Because Abes family was in America all he had left was Marco. He had no choice but to spend his money on Marco because he had low income. He was suffering from forced migration because he knew if he did not leave his country with Marco they would have been caught by the government. Abe would've been put in jail and Marco would've been killed due to laws against owning pigs.

  • Marco we finally made it! You can live in safety now!
  • Abe wanted to migrate to America with Marco. His family lived in America and he knew he could build a farm to get money and keep Marco safe. It was legal to own pigs in America, unlike his home country.

  • Abe and Marco snuck out of the country by using a guys car. Him and Marco hid when the police would come by. Abe was going through transnational migration because he was moving from India to America.
  • Abe and Marco had arrived in America after 2 weeks of travel. When asked where they came from Abe would lie and tell people he was a guest worker from India. Abe quickly found a job due to an abundance of opportunities. The first thing he did with his saved up money was purchase a farm.

  • Today Marco lives happily in his pen. Abe takes Marco on days out often since he can now afford it. Abe walks around freely with Marco because he does not have to worry about prosecution anymore. Abe and Marco's life as refugees are over and they are now successfully living in America with family.
