This is when Jem's curiosity got to him. Him his sister, and Dill headed downtown to figure out what Atticus was up to, or where he even was.
Dill- What's up?
Scout- Jem's got the look-arounds, an affliction Calpurnia said all boys caught at his age.
Jem- I've just got this feeling, just this feeling.
1 A man- He in there, Mr Finch?
This is when the kids are just about to go home as they see two cars pull up with four men, ordering Tim Robison from Atticus, as he refuses. The men make him feel even more unsafe as they called Heck off on a fake hunt.
5 A man- Called 'em off on a snipe hunt.
2 Atticus- He is, and he's asleep. Don't wake him up.
4 A man- Heck's bunch's so deep in the woods they wont get out till mornin'.
3 Mr Cunningham- You know what we want, get aside from the door, Mr Finch.
This is when Scout rushes to Atticus because she sees the trouble. Atticus pleads her to go home, but she refuses. She notices she recognizes one of the men and starts conversation hoping to make the situation better. Bringing up his entailment, and his kid. The men end up leaving, and Tim Robison is safe, for now.
Mr Cunningham-I'll tell him you said hey little lady. Lets clear out. Let's get going boys.
